A journalist with a 20-year history as Tampa Bay Times TV/ Media Critic, Deggans is the author of Race Baiter: How the Media Wields Dangerous Words to Divide a Nation. The book examines the ways in which modern media fuels some elements of prejudice, racism and sexism. Deggans will sign copies of the book for purchase at the event.”
